Alex Sorel was born in coal country in Northeastern Pennsylvania but moved to her mother’s home state of New Mexico in 2000 and fell in love with the great desert Southwest. She lives in Albuquerque with Nina, a clever scruffy dog who keeps her from being a couch potato.
