Bio

Bill Fisher is a retired Air Force officer who worked in the communications-electronics, operations research analysis, and scientific management fields. He retired from a second career as an economic and land development planner. For twelve years he worked for two Indian tribes in New Mexico and uses this experience, as well as his involvement in the military, to write detailed stories of Indian life and military conflict. His knowledge of native culture and history and his insight into military and historical political issues allow him to paint a complete picture of the struggles, privations, dangers, and drama of the mid-eighteenth-century historical period. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from Purdue University, a Master of Science in Systems Management from the University of Southern California, and a Masters in Community and Regional Planning from the University of New Mexico. Fisher lives with his wife, Vicki, in Sandia Park, New Mexico. He is the author of Cruel Road, a historical novel.
