Other Nonfiction: Women’s Sexuality
Jane Epstein spent most of her career as a nurse practitioner providing general and sexual health care for adolescents. In recent years, she completed research and began writing about women’s sexual health. After years of providing sexual health care for teens and young women, many of whom neither enjoyed nor understood sex, she wanted to know when and from where women learn to find pleasure in sex. Her research captures stories of older women who reveal their lifelong pursuit of sexual pleasure. Jane wants to change the dialogue about sex with young women, to move beyond messages of caution, to include the expectation and knowledge of sexual pleasure.
