SouthWest Writers, the largest writers’ group in Albuquerque, offers a free year’s membership to college or high school students. Benefits include monthly meetings with professional speakers, an annual conference, and ongoing fellowship with working writers in the area. Applicants should submit a few paragraphs about writing interests and goals, and what they hope to gain from membership in SWW. Submit the application by December for the following year’s grant.
