The manuscript is written, edited and proofread. If you’ve decided to self-publish, you will have to format the manuscript so it is correctly set up. This workshop focuses on manuscripts written in Microsoft word. It covers: determining what size the book should be; options for fonts for text and titles; how to set up margins, page numbers, and headers; placement of pages (title page, copyright, table of contents, body, end matter); how to convert the manuscript to the proper type of pdf. The workshop is only two hours, so it will focus on a standard novel formatting without footnotes, endnotes, index, etc. If you have a manuscript ready to be published bring it and your laptop to the workshop. Otherwise, Rose will bring one for participants to work on.
