I grew up in Oregon, moved to New Mexico in 2003. In college, I studied psychology, theater, and probably too many other things. Then I worked. Now, I am retired and pursuing my writing. There has always been writing and storytelling. Other interests include drawing, painting, sewing, chickens, dog agility, archeology, and whatever random thing I come across in a day.

We faced different challenges. The Hungry Dark took many. Gordy would lead his followers on an epic journey just trying to bring them home. Yves the Younger had to learn not to live up to his namesake. Hilda was dutiful to the end, and Chi Chi fought the world. Others found the secret to peace and joy.
We had awful wars. There were times we were almost wiped out.
We persist.
Yeah, anyway it’s sort of a cockroach soap opera?

Title: Story Bouquet

This is a collection of short stories on everything from Neanderthals to a memoir about my first dog. In one story a COVID fever dream causes a drastic change of political views. In another, Janet is just a quiet widow trying to live a quiet life who accidentally makes herself almost disappear by being a little too quiet.. There is another story that explores living with the aftermath after illegally duplicating a personality. What makes a person? What makes a life worth living? What was life like for a Neanderthal child? I don’t know those answers, but I do know that my dog was a good boy.
I don’t know the answers, but I enjoy thinking about the questions. Playing with the questions lets me explore everything from sci fi to women’s lit.
