Bio
JOHN WHITE is a Certified Professional Geologist with BS and MS degrees focused on economic geology. He worked for over twenty-five years in the mining industry, exploring for and managing underground and surface mining operations. John has also spent over twenty years in heavy civil construction. During his careers he held executive positions in three corporations, while also serving in a variety of roles including City Commissioner, governor’s business advisor, university adjunct professor, as well as voluntary roles in government, civic, professional, and church organizations. This extensive and varied career informs his observations and commentary in his first published book, To Concerned Americans, and serves as a dynamic backdrop to the stories he shares in Building My Faith. His life has taken him to places that serve to both challenge and facilitate the faith God continues to build in his heart. For the last 36 years he has devoted considerable time to active roles in his local churches, always seeking to grow his faith in Christ. In addition to serving in church and writing books, Mr. White is also a partner in a local New Mexico restoration business. John lives with his wife Mabel in Albuquerque, New Mexico. So far, their six children have blessed them with ten grandchildren and one great-grandson.
