Bio

Bailey Burck grew up in Minnesota, where long, dark winters encouraged excessive reading. She studied Physics, met all the Sci-Fi and fantasy nerds a girl could wish for, and got a PhD in a topic too obscure to mention. Her thesis advisor once thwacked her on the head with a copy of Strunk & White while claiming colorful metaphors had no place in scientific papers. She’s been a closet fiction writer ever since, and still uses that same dog-eared copy of S&W.

She now lives in New Mexico, which is a nice warm place, but sadly not as many UFO or chupacabra sightings as one might hope. She’s still waiting to see one. Meanwhile, she drinks a lot of tea and craft beer. Her blog reviewing local bars (the divier the better) can be found at AbqBarDiver.com

Bailey writes speculative shorts and occasional humorous essays, and is working on her first novel.
