Bio
Raised in New Jersey, I have lived in the West and Southwest for over half a century. I am a graduate of the University of New Mexico. I have worked as a miner, environmental advocate, nurse aide, practical nurse, and grocery bagger. I have taught composition in colleges and community colleges in Santa Fe, New Mexico; El Paso, Texas; and Alamosa, Colorado. I have volunteered as a country-and-western disk jockey at public radio stations in Colorado and New Mexico. I enjoy reading fiction and non-fiction about the West and Southwest. I write non-fiction about the Southwestern landscapes and their effects on the body, mind, and spirit. I am currently seeking a publisher for my memoir about my years in the Southwest. I hike, backpack, and bicycle. I live in Albuquerque and have a wife and two dogs.
